SIFER Reader & Card Technology
The SIFER family of products is a highly secure reader and card technology designed to work in perfect synergy with the Inner Range Integriti and Inception Access Control systems.
The SIFER product family includes traditional readers, keypads and a full range of card & fob credentials. This includes ready-to-use pre-programmed cards or uniquely customised cards with site specific encryption. SIFER also offers credentials that can be re-programed in the field via the SIFER programming station.
The SIFER technology is a Smart Card system designed and manufactured by Inner Range. It is a multi-drop RS-485 based reader that employs 128 bit AES encryption from the card through to the door module, providing a far superior level of security than that of traditional Wiegand based card readers.
SIFER readers and credentials are based on the highly secure MIFARE® DESFire® EV1/EV2 card format. As SIFER readers utilise a superset of the OSDP protocol, the readers may also be deployed on any system capable of using OSDP. The RS-485 to Wiegand converter device may also be used to enable SIFER readers to be used with traditional Wiegand based systems
